Mijksenaar ArupMijksenaar Arup Wayfinding
Bureau Mijksenaar USA Inc. was established in New York City in 2002. A joint venture was then formed between Arup, the worldwide engineering consultancy company, and Mijksenaar. The name the joint venture operates as is Mijksenaar Arup Wayfinding.
Mijksenaar began its American activities in 1999. Since then, the office has developed various wayfinding and consultancy projects for various clients, as Mijksenaar or through Mijksenaar Arup Wayfinding.
A primary focus in the US has been airports. These projects include work for:
- JFK, La Guardia and Newark International airports;
- Boston Logan Airport;
- Baltimore BWI Airport, and
- Washington Dulles International Airport (ongoing).
Other projects include:
- Bay Area Rapid Transit system (BART) in San Francisco, California;
- Fulton Street Transit Center, for the NYC MTA;
- MoMA Design Store in NYC;
- Spadina Subway line extension in Toronto Canada, and
- Museum Plaza in Louisville, Kentucky (ongoing).
