Client: De Weezenlanden Hospital
Period: 1995 – 1999
The wayfinding system which was implemented here was
developed to serve three target groups:
- visitors of outpatients’ clinics / treatment departments
- patients registering for admission
- visitors for patients in nursing facilities
Important feature in this project were landmarks. Two
important architectural feats in the hospital environment
played a major role in the wayfinding system: a tower
(shaped like a pepper pot) and the IJssel bridge.
